Many families in the Ylläs region still make a living from reindeer. Our Reindeer Safari heads for Hyyverova, where a herder who has spent his life with reindeer will take us for a reindeer ride covering about four kilometres in half an hour.

To round off the trip, coffee will then be served in a tepee and we will be taught the rudiments of reindeer breeding and herding. The journey there and back by snowmobile totals about 40 kilometres and the safari takes around 4,5 hours in all.

Price 160 €  per person including instruction, a snowmobile for two, the 4 km's reindeer ride and coffee. Price if only one person per snowmobile 195 €. Minimum of 4 persons.
