We
pack towels and drive with the snowmobiles to Luosu where a warm
sauna is waiting for us. After master of sauna has told us the
secrets of winter swimming we pluck up our courage in sauna. Then we
jump into the hole in the ice under the stars and hopefully the
Northern lights, too. There’s space enough for a few metres
swimming before going back to sauna. In front of the fire place we
eat an evening snack before heading back to Äkäslompolo.
Snowmobile return 25 kilometres.
