Snow Fun Safaris arrange fun tours by snowmobile for small groups. But that is not all, because we also want our guests to learn something about Lapland, its magnificent scenery, and the lives of the people of Ylläs past and present. In addition to showing you the snowy forests and the mighty fells we therefore try to introduce you to places important to the Sámis and Finns in days gone by, and to bring them alive through the stories told by the guide. We are, furthermore, deeply concerned for your physical well-being and to this end lay on a picnic menu second to none.

                                                                                                                      The number of stars after the name of the tour indicates the level: one star means it is suitable for anyone, five that you need to be in fairly good physical condition in addition to having a rugged thirst for adventure. At the start of each snowmobile safari participants will be supplied with safety instructions and taught how to handle their machines. The loan of warm snowmobile clothing and helmets is included in the price. The Seven Fells tour and Lainio Snow Village safari includes a meal. During the other tours participants can select a meal from our menu, if wanted.

Everyone is driving on his/hers own risk. If something happens to the snowmobiles and damages exceed  505 € the maximum amount paid by the customer will be that 505 €. The rest is paid by our insurance company. When you take part to the guided safari you will have a possibility to avoid the self risk by paying the special 7 euros "no risk" fee per person (only for week program safaris). 

Children under 15 years will get 30 % discount when sharing the snowmobile with an adult. If there is included in the programme something else than only snowmobiling, the age to get the discount will be 12 years.
We use on the safaris two-seated 550 cc Finnish Lynx snowmobiles. Advanced snowmobile drivers can have for extra charge powerful enduro snowmobiles when the safari is more than 30 kms.

The starting point for excursions is the office of  Snow Fun Safaris in Äkäslompolo, but when necessary customers can be picked up from any point in Äkäslompolo village for the same price. We reserve the right to change the itinerary of the excursions should the weather or safety of our customers so require. The excursions described here are only examples of the options we offer. All excursions can be adapted according to need. V.A.T. is included.
