Canoeing season starts as soon as the ice melts, and ends when the leaves start falling and the foliage season begins. The nearby canoe routes in Äkäslompolo are suitable for beginning indian canoe paddlers, but kayaks require at least the basic knowledge of them. Both our canoes and equipment fulfill the safety requirements and our guides have passed the canoeing director course. For the folks who want rougher rides than the nearby rivers can offer, we gladly take for more adventurous rides for example to the Muonio or Aakenus rivers. After the basic course, it is nice to take the kayak to paddle around the Äkäsjärvi lake, which activity makes the day just fly by.
