Lapland is known for its nature: weather worn rock covered fells, tree – covered hills gleaming in the horizon, wild water passages,primal forests, reindeer herds grazing on the open fell slopes, salmons and trout in the rivers, the clean berries of the fell slopes.
During the Lapland tradition trips we acquaint our guests to the nature and the tradition of Lapland inhabitants, how they have lived and traveled throughout the years, what have been their hobbies and beliefs. Getting acquainted with all this means also getting a chance to return back in time by participating in some old activities, not just listening to the trip guide.

Prices include thermal clothing, boots, helmets, fuel, insurance, guiding, catering mentioned in program description.
On the snowmobile safaris children under 15 years will get 30 % discount when sharing a snowmobile with an adult. Children traveling in the snowmobile sleigh will get 50 % discount.
In other activities, including snowmobile and animal program combinations, children under 13 years will get 30 % discount. Children under four years participate free of charge.
The number of stars after the name of the tour indicates the level of difficulty: one star means it is suitable for anyone, five that you need to be in fairly good physical condition in addition to having a rugged thirst for adventure.
Snowmobile safari participants will be supplied with safety instructions and taught how to handle snowmobiles in the beginning of every safari. Everyone is driving on his/her own risk. In case of accident, the maximum self-liability fee is 1000 €. The rest is covered by our insurance company. When you take part to the guided safari you will have a possibility to avoid the 1000 € self-liability fee by paying extra 25 euros fee per person (only for valid times in the week program, not on request safaris).
Every driver has to have a full driving license.
According to the Finnish Road Traffic Act snowmobile passenger’s feet must reach the stepping boards of the snowmobile while sitting.
The starting point for excursions is the office of Snow Fun Safaris in Äkäslompolo, but when necessary customers can be picked up from any point in Äkäslompolo village for the same price. Please make the reservation before 17.00 o’clock the previous day.
Cancellation can be made free of charge the previous day by 17.00.
We reserve the right to change the itinerary of the excursions should the weather or safety of our customers so require. The excursions described here are only examples of the options we offer. All excursions can be adapted according to need.
